Here's what we're following today.

A young Black man is in serious condition after being shot seven times by a police officer in Kenosha, Wis., on Sunday. A graphic video that is alleged to show the shooting was posted on Facebook and quickly sparked outrage in the city. Local media identified the man as 29-year-old Jacob Blake.

Kellyanne Conway — one of President Trump’s longest-serving and most visible aides — announced she’s resigning to concentrate on her family. Her husband, George T. Conway III, said Sunday that he is withdrawing from the Lincoln Project, the anti-Trump group he helped found. The couple’s eldest daughter, Claudia, tweeted on Sunday that she is "officially pushing for emancipation."

The Food and Drug Administration announced on Sunday that they’ve issued emergency authorization for convalescent plasma to treat COVID-19. The Mayo Clinic has been using it since March and officials say there’s a 35% survival improvement rate. But some scientists have said the Mayo Clinic data isn’t strong enough to warrant authorization.

The Republican National Convention kicks off Monday with a roll call and official renomination of President Trump. The president will speak every night in prime time, his campaign said; his adult children will all make speeches; and, in a norm-breaking move criticized by government ethics experts, Trump will deliver his acceptance speech from the White House lawn.

Louisiana is bracing for what officials are warning will be a "one-two punch," as two major storm systems are expected to hit the state within 48 hours of each other. Hurricane Marco, which has been downgraded to a tropical storm, had been gaining speed and strength as it crossed through the Gulf of Mexico. It is expected to make landfall Monday

Painting large eyes on the rear ends of cows wards off predators, researchers in Botswana found. Six hundred and eighty-three cows with eyes painted across their rumps roamed the delta for four years, and none of them was killed, unlike their unmarked or cross-marked cousins. Older white voters — a demographic that played a big role in electing Donald Trump four years ago — may be up for grabs in this year’s election. Many say they are unhappy with his general behavior and how he’s handled the pandemic, but others intend to stick with him even though they aren’t completely happy with his presidency thus far. Listen to what they have to say here or read the story.

The unflappable health care heroes of the current crisis are beginning to crack under the strain. Doctors, nurses and other professionals are not only fighting an intractable virus day after day, they're also coping with isolation, shifting official guidelines and limited ways to recharge. Listen to their stories here or read about them

Photographer Elizabeth Dalziel has been in charge of her sons' learning during lockdown. The time together has wrapped them in a tight hug that at times "feels like a boa constrictor's slow squeeze." Her photographs show what happens when school (and everything else) happens at home.
