Here's what we're following today.

Former President Donald Trump’s defense lawyers will make their opening statements on Friday in his Senate impeachment trial. Democratic House impeachment managers wrapped up their arguments Thursday night.

President Biden has finalized deals to buy 200 million more COVID-19 vaccine doses from Pfizer and Moderna by the end of July, increasing the likelihood of delivering on his promise to have all Americans inoculated by mid-summer.

Former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley she believes former President Trump “let us down.” In an interview published by Politico on Friday, Haley says “He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”

Revered pianist Chick Corea, whose work spanned jazz, rock and classical, died on Tuesday at his home in Tampa, Fla. He was 79. Corea was named a Jazz Master by the National Endowment for the Arts in 2006, and he won 23 Grammys. Click here to see Corea’s 2016 Tiny Desk concert with Gary Burton. 

The Biden administration says it will begin phasing in a new asylum process next week to deal with a backlog of migrants seeking asylum on the southern U.S. border. President Biden called his predecessor's "Remain in Mexico" program for asylum-seekers "inhumane."

A Wisconsin judge has refused to issue a new arrest warrant for Kyle Rittenhouse, the 18-year-old charged with killing two people in Kenosha, Wis., during protests last summer. The judge also refused to increase Rittenhouse's bail. Prosecutors say he violated terms of his bail when he moved and didn’t inform them of his new address.
