Here's what we're following today.

The House voted on Thursday to strip GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of her committee assignments. The move came after an uproar over her past incendiary comments and apparent support of violence against Democrats. "I was allowed to believe things that weren't true," Greene said on the House floor Thursday. 

The Senate approved a budget resolution early Friday morning that tees up President Biden's $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill for passage without Republican support. With the Senate evenly divided, Vice President Harris cast the tiebreaking vote.

Lawyers for former president Donald Trump say he won’t testify in his impeachment trial next week in the Senate, saying the trial is unconstitutional since Trump is no longer in office. 

As new coronavirus variants continue to spread in the U.S., drugmaker Johnson & Johnson has asked the Food and Drug Administration for emergency authorization for its experimental one-shot COVID-19 vaccine. Data shows that it is 66% effective against preventing moderate to severe cases of the diseases. 

Election technology company Smartmatic filed a stunning $2.7 billion lawsuit against Fox News on Thursday, claiming the network made it into a villain and perpetuated false claims about the presidential election. The suit also names Fox News stars Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro, as well as Trump allies Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell.

The International Criminal Court on Thursday convicted Ugandan rebel commander Dominic Ongwen of war crimes and crimes against humanity. The charges include numerous crimes against girls and women, including forced pregnancy.
