Here's what we're following today.

Stun guns, pepper spray, baseball bats, flagpoles used as clubs: An NPR investigation reviewed federal charges filed against alleged participants in the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, and found that dozens of individuals came armed, despite a popular narrative to the contrary.

There's been a lot to learn in the past year — and even more if you've become a parent since the start of the pandemic. NPR's Audie Cornish (who gave birth to her second child in the early days of the pandemic) spoke with three first-time moms about their experiences. Listen now.
