Prosecutors are expected to present more witnesses on Monday in the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer charged with killing George Floyd. Among those expected to testify soon is Police Chief Medaria Arradondo, who fired Chauvin and three other officers the day after Floyd was killed. Last week a senior officer in the Minneapolis Police Department told jurors that Chauvin’s actions were “just uncalled for.” 

Jordan's former crown prince says he is under house arrest. Jordanian officials say they arrested more than a dozen individuals — including high-profile members of the Kingdom — on Saturday in an attempted plot that threatened the nation's "security and stability."

After more than two months of steep declines, a fourth COVID-19 surge may be starting. How bad could it get?

For the second time this year, detainees of the St. Louis Justice Center were able to break out of their cells, break windows and set small fires. On Sunday, videos and other pictures shared on social media showed inmates leaning out of the broken windows of their cells and chanting, "We want court dates!"

French police arrested suspected Lego thieves. And last month, a man in Oregon was arrested after local police suspected he stole $7,500 worth of Lego toy sets.

Lego larceny may be on the rise. Turns out, there's a lot of money in the colorful, interlocking bricks, especially on the black market. Three suspects were caught taking boxes of Legos from a toy shop near Paris, with the goal of selling them in Poland. And last month, police arrested a man in Oregon suspected of stealing $7,500 worth of Lego toy sets. Listen here or read the story.

The mummified remains of 24 pharaohs, 18 kings and four queens, all members of ancient Egyptian royalty,  passed through downtown Cairo in an awe-inspiring parade on Saturday. The elaborate spectacle, named The Pharaohs' Golden Parade, was designed to attract tourists to the new National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where the mummies will be part of the collection of antiquities.
